Studio Development

Over the past few days I have been working on four little murals for my studio.

A couple of mornings ago I woke up and started drawing. Strange images began to spring forth; birds which have left an impression in my memory clothed in hats and masks. They are unusual offerings from my subconscious and I don’t really know how I feel about them yet but they take me back to Calke Abbey which left an indelible mark on my imagination. I am glad that these four curious birds; heron, cockatoo, pheasant and peacock will be watching over me while I work.

Once I Ate An Apple

There is a moment when one walks into an historic house set out with the precious gatherings of past lives and the forced stillness of time even as it is ever marching forward grips one tangibly. The
