This morning it was my great privilege and pleasure to give a talk about my art to thirty year eight students from Perth College. They will be studying my work as part of their art class and their lovely teacher thought it would be great for the girls to see the works in the flesh and ask questions. I’m no public speaker but once I got past my nerves and relaxed a little I really enjoyed speaking about the art and answering their questions. Later the girls had the chance to draw their favorite works and they were very good. It was a great experience for me and I hope in some way it helped them with this next phase of their artistic development.

‘Gazing Where the Lilies Blow’

8th – 22th March 2015

Linton & Kay Gallery, Perth, Western Australia

To be opened by Paula Silbert.

‘Gazing Where the Lilies Blow’ is a heartfelt poem in colour celebrating the wonderful diversity, depth of character and impassioned lives of women that I admire from history, mythology and literature. Each speaks to me of the struggles and motivations of distinctive lives framed within a time utterly different from my own.'
